Kraken Con Released

My Kraken Con Collectible

My Kraken Con Collectible

A few weeks ago I took a train for about 5 minutes to a Con in my own city.  Kraken Con, a fantastic Anime extravaganza, took place at the Oakland Convention Center on a very hot weekend at the beginning of October. Indian Summer, we call it.
meh.
I was thankful for the air conditioning!
This was the weekend I was waiting for- I finally got to meet Jinnie, my Con Agent– and hang out again with Caitlin Glass, who I was a guest at Konsplosion with last month. I also met Matthew Mercer, a voice actor I really admire- he was super cool too.

Caitlin, Matt, Jinnie, and me. I'm excited to be a part of the POC Family!

During my weekend at Kraken Con, I had a table set up so I could meet people when I wasn’t doing panels. I met a lot of people who have enjoyed the games I’ve been in- people who felt guilty about their decisions for my character, Lilly, in The Walking Dead– some not feeling bad at all-  and others speaking Simlish to me 🙂 It was a lot of fun!

The staff at Kraken Con were knowledgeable and considerate – they always made sure I had what I needed- and they brought me really good snacks!

Cheez-its and a Slim Jim! yessssss

Cheez-its and a Slim Jim?!? yessssss (the apple was delicious too)

I met amazing people that weekend, and I want to thank Rage LAB, Davidson L. Haworth and Robbie Pleasant for the interviews and hanging out with me a bit!

A goal of mine this year was to really start attending Cons- my next adventure is with Tucson Comic Con, and it will be my 8th convention of the year! I’ve traveled across the city and to the other side of the world – every place I’ve gone so far, I’ve met truly wonderful people. I can’t wait to see what’s in store for 2015!
